Rescue Mission Salt Lake Corporate Sponsor Holiday Appeal 2009
Dear xxx:
As a private supporter of Rescue Mission Salt Lake, I’ve been asked to approach a few organizations in our area that I am familiar with, who I know truly care about the homeless. The continued rise in unemployment have hit some especially hard in the Salt Lake area. The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake turns no one away, receives no public funding, and has shown itself to be one of the most effective care providers to desperate men, women & children that I’ve ever had the privilege to support.
As winter and the 2009 Holiday Season approaches I would like to ask you and your company to adopt The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake as a “Sponsor Partner.” There are many ways to support the humanitarian efforts of RMSL as a corporate sponsor. Gathering donations of new clothing and non-perishable food items are, of course, popular and are so appreciated. And while these traditional methods of support cannot be undervalued, the financial needs in these especially challenging times are approaching overwhelming. The Mission serves thousands of desperately needy people in Salt Lake each year on a shoestring budget. I would like to ask you to thoughtfully/prayerfully consider setting a financial goal for giving by your organization and its wonderful employees during the remaining weeks of 2009.
Some corporations may have a community garage sale of surplus items. Some may hold chili cookouts, tailgate parties or barbeque fund raisers. Others may hold charity auctions or other high profile events. Many corporate sponsors choose to pledge matching contributions (limited or unlimited) of their employees or simply be a corporate sponsor. There are many creative and enjoyable ways to help. These are obviously just a few.
If you would consider adopting the Mission as a corporate Holiday sponsor, or would like to know more about how this wonderful charity the helps the helpless, I would be pleased to help you make that connection. You can also visit their website at www.rescuesaltlake.org. And if you do, I can personally assure you that your commitment to help could never go to a more caring, and deserving organization.
